Hangama Anwari is a dedicated Associate Lawyer at CGS Law Firm, specializing in immigration and refugee law. As a Licensed Barrister & Solicitor in Ontario, Hangama provides expert legal counsel to individuals navigating the complexities of immigration processes. She represents clients in immigration hearings, tribunal proceedings, and offers comprehensive support to those seeking refuge or permanent residency in Canada.

Hangama holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Canadian Common Law from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Afghanistan. Following her graduation from Osgoode, she completed the Law Practice Program at Toronto Metropolitan University, where she gained hands-on experience working with Sultan Law and Litchwick Law, fulfilling her work placement requirements.

Fluent in English, Dari, and Farsi, Hangama brings a global perspective to her legal practice, offering culturally competent services with professionalism and empathy. Before immigrating to Canada, she held significant roles with UN Women as a Program Manager and served as a Human Rights Commissioner in Afghanistan, where she advocated for gender equality and human rights.
