Diane Coulthard

Ms. Coulthard graduated with an Honours B.A. in Political Studies from Queen’s University before obtaining an L.L.B. from the University of Windsor in 1991.  While at the University of Windsor, Ms. Coulthard developed an interest in International and Business Law.  Following graduation, Ms. Coulthard articled at Meighan Demers, a boutique Corporate Commercial law firm specializing in National and International business transactions.

After being called to the bar in 1993, Ms. Coulthard began working with Levine Associates where her compassion and determination to assist individuals facing emotionally challenging legal issues led to a focus on family and refugee law.  Ms. Coulthard has represented families in all aspects of family law including custody/access, child support, spousal support, division of property, separation agreements and child protection cases.  Ms. Coulthard often appears before the Immigration and Refugee Board and the Federal Court of Canada in respect to her work with immigrants and refugees.

Ms. Coulthard now mentors young lawyers at the firm and complements her practice with family mediation where she helps parties work together through thoughtful and creative approaches to conflict resolution.   When not working, Ms. Coulthard enjoys entertaining family and friends.  She also enjoys traveling, reading and running.
